Our new COO came into my office the other day and started asking some prepared questions. When we got to our MDM for our iPhones she pulled her phone out and started feeding my answers into an AI to get follow up responses for me.

Not sure how well she'll do... she is quite on the ball for a lot of stuff but I'm certain that the LLMs will rot her brain. :(

I just now put together that Chekov and Bester were the same actor.

While we were in the Mojave for a two week long training boondoggle one of the other soldiers took to eating all of his meals in one of the port’o potties.

You see abortion itself is also a dog whistle. They don't actually care about it, they wanted a new rallying cry after their segregated schools began losing funding.

The whole thing is a smoke screen so they could keep funneling tax dollars to schools that exclude blacks so that their children can't meet "other" children and potentially realize that they're being raised as racists.

Their real victories are all about funding private and religious schools that have somehow remained segregated.

This serves a double purpose.

The first is an attempt to steal and conflate actual genocide with their hideous agendas. By repurposing language they hope to make their efforts seem more important and also water down actual genocide.

The second is to dog whistle abortion to the "white genocide" conspiracy theory crowd.

Because trump is doing so poorly means that politically they can still attach themselves to corporate donors.

Some of them will be working this to further ingrate themselves to monied interests by presenting themselves as a stable and sane solution.

We, of course, have to push back and fiendishly work to punish those who might hold out their hand or have in the past held out their hand to corporate interests.

Primaries are this summer; I'm already looking at my rep to see if he can be replaced.

Not South Korean, I was stationed there for a bit and my flatmate was a Korean who went to prison for 14 days or so for some minor infraction.

He came back a bit traumatized by the ordeal. From what he described he could only sit on the ground. He'd wake up, go somewhere, and just sit all day. I think he was fed while sitting too somehow? At the end of the day he went back to bed and repeat it all again when he woke up.

He swore he'd change his ways and not break the law anymore so maybe it worked?

I’ve been wondering if putting most of the tube in the tank and then covering up the hole with your thumb would be adequate in pulling up liquid to begin the siphon process.
