I assumed they are getting large volume wholesale discounts that aren't available to individuals.

Good management would have new game projects queued up so that their people could be moved onto the next thing. That way you retain talent instead of kicking it to the curb. What companies do instead is shameful.

I am an early retired electrical engineer. I hunt, fish, and have fruit trees all over my yard. I also repair and/or replace all my own appliances. I do my own plumbing, electrical, and handyman work. I do my own car repairs and maintenance. I make my own furniture out of palette wood and bamboo grown in my yard. I brew my own beer. I do all the cooking in my house since my wife is still teaching. Stop by and have a home brew after work!

I self hosted for many years but gave up due to family members complaining about the occasional rejection. You are made of stronger stuff than I am, kudos.

I am human. My insides are soft and warm. Nary a nut or bolt to scrape you raw.

I bought a 2018 car in 2022 and was a bit pissed about the tracking. There was a dialog to turn it off but it kept popping up. But then I realized that the built in cell was 3G and they canceled that network nationwide. Just a thought if you are buying a used car.

"Fun stuff" is going to boil back down to playing an old board game with friends like in the 80s. Pot luck dinner and somebody bring the hooch they fermented in their closet.

DVDs at thrift stores for a buck. My collection is massive and still growing. My Steam backlog will outlive me.
