I figure that once you pick a mapping application, you'll pretty much stick with it. So I've been looking into both Dawarich and Reitti and tbh, am having trouble figuring out whiat differentiates these two applications. Can anybody comment on these applications and if they use one or the other and how they like it?

Wait. What is an exit interview other than a c.y.a. for the company?

If you’re looking to fall asleep then just take a Benadryl capsule. Anything with diphenhydramine will do the trick.

What are you using to update your Docker images?

In the shitpost’s defense, the shrimp is pictured doing lines of cocaine with a US banknote. So accuracy wasn’t the goal. Everyone knows that shrimp snort their lines with British currency.

I initially skimmed this and read that as “potato kerfuffle” and wanted to know more.

This is the ultimate Mickey7 appreciation post. We all know that it’s gonna get downvoted to hell but he posts it anyway because that’s showbiz. I admire the dedication.

The “in-app purchase” is a donation page where you can donate extra to the developer if you want to. It’s 100% voluntary and doesn’t unlock any extra or additional features. I’ve never donated anything beyond the $5 purchase price.

If you’re doing a search, it’s play:sub. Here is the link on iOS. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/play-sub-music-streamer/id955329386

Also, it’s a fantastic app and I use it every day.

And why are managed switches so much more expensive than unmanaged ones?

I'm getting into this and have some questions (if that's okay). We still download their mobile & desktop apps, right? Then select either "local-only" or "self-hosted"? Is one free and the other costs money? If so, I'll do what you're doing except I just put a wireguard server on my opnsense box and vpn into my local network that way.

Is there a sample docker compose you could show me? I found this docker-compose and this env file but it all seems unnecessarily complicated. Is this what you're using?

Thanks for the recommendation. I’ll check it out. Do you use it behind a reverse proxy?

I can spot the Mickey7 posts without even seeing his name (assumption male). Honestly it’s a mildly fun game to play.

Admin page. My parents watching this movie. Wondering why some of the watching progress line is blue and some of it is orange/reddish?

I’m a long time user of Joplin but now looking for a newer solution. I was looking at Trilum notes for the tight OIDC integration with Authelia. Has anyone here tried Trilium notes? What are your opinions on it?

Americans who host media servers for friends & family and are forced to use a cable-based ISP, what is your upload/download setup? Also, what is your rationale for your speeds?

Xfinity is not cheap, upload speeds are garbage and although I want my users to have a great experience, I don't want to spend tons of money to host this?

Do you make your users pay for access? That seems pretty shitty imo but I'm hosting encodes (no remuxes) but between my various non-local family members and a couple buddies from college, I'm maxing out my upload speeds and need to figure out what to do.

Looking for help here. I created a new Firefox profile and wanted to load the Bypass Paywalls Clean Add-on/Extension from the XPI file. So I did what I've always done and got the message displayed above.

Then I went into about:config and changed both xpinstall.whitelist.required and xpinstall.signatures.required to false. Fully exited and restarted the browser but still, no dice.

Anyone know how to fix this?

SOLUTION: go to extensions.blocklist.enabled and turn it to false

Links are almost always base64 encoded now and the online url decoders always produce garbage. I was wondering if there is a project out there that would allow me to self-host this type of tool?

I'd probably network this container through gluetun because, yanno, privacy.

Edit to add: Doesn't have to be specifically base64 focused. Any link decoder that I can use in a privacy respecting way, would be welcome.

Edit 2: See if your solution will decode this link (the one in the image): https://link.sfchronicle.com/external/41488169.38548/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuaG90ZG9nYmlsbHMuY29tL2hhbWJ1cmdlci1tb2xkcy9idXJnZXItZG9nLW1vbGQ_c2lkPTY4MTNkMTljYzM0ZWJjZTE4NDA1ZGVjYSZzcz1QJnN0X3JpZD1udWxsJnV0bV9zb3VyY2U9bmV3c2xldHRlciZ1dG1fbWVkaXVtPWVtYWlsJnV0bV90ZXJtPWJyaWVmaW5nJnV0bV9jYW1wYWlnbj1zZmNfYml0ZWN1cmlvdXM/6813d19cc34ebce18405decaB7ef84e41 (it should decode to this page: https://www.hotdogbills.com/hamburger-molds)

I see that when people ask for music servers, people frequently suggest Navidrome or mpd/mopidy. I haven't tried either. I'm just using Jellyfin as an all-in-one. I'm wondering why do people choose to use a dedicated music server over an all-in-one like Jellyfin?

Is the extra overhead worth it?
