I consume THC primarily through edibles so I am often the guy people come to for their first time getting high. I give new users 5mg and I tell them to wait for an hour. For first timers it can take a little longer for them to notice. Sometimes I will make sure they get up and do some jumping jacks or something to get that blood moving.

If after one hour a new user is not reporting feeling any different from 5mg I will give them 5mg more and tell them not to take another gummy for at least 5 hours. I would say 95% of the time that second 5mg they do start to feel it properly.

I should note that everyone is different and some people will not ever feel 5mg and some people (like my father) take 2.5mg because that's all he needs. After doing this for years with a lot of people I feel confident in saying that 5mg and an hour wait should work on 75% of people.

My little sister who weighs next to nothing compared to me barely notices 10mg so your milage may vary. It's a bit like alcohol. Some people get drunk off one glass of wine. Some people need a whole bottle to feel anything. Always take it slow your first time and it's ok if you don't feel anything the first time. There is almost nothing worse than going way too far on your first time with THC. My brother did that for me and I was coughing and throwing up for like 20 minutes before I basically passed out in the backyard.

What many people don't realize is that a significant chunk of our oil processing infrastructure in America is designed for Venezuelas oil specifically. It's very thick and that means a very different procedure for refinement. Thinner/watery crude oil from other places in the world is much easier to work with and many other places are already set up to refine that oil. Not everyone in the world is set up to process Venezuelas crude oil.

This also means we can't just get oil somewhere else and run it through those same refineries with the same results. Venezuela has the single largest oil reserves and America spent a lot of time, energy and money to process that oil.

So yes it is about oil, but it's much more complicated than simply "oil".

Mostly unsubstantiated rumors passed around about why certain employees no longer work there. Linus has on multiple occasions admitted he was doing everything for the first time and he didn't always get everything right as the company transitioned from some dudes in a house to a legitimate company.

Some don't like him because of his opinions on things (most of the apple fanboys don't like him because he regularly shits on apple and iPhones).

Some people don't like him because of drama with other YouTubers (mostly Steve from gamers nexus).

As someone who used to watch him daily back when it was just him and Luke doing stupid shit in a regular house and doesn't really watch him much anymore I don't think Linus is an outright bad person. All of us are flawed in many ways. He seems like mostly a good guy and those who have met with him and worked with him that I have met or talked to only ever had nice things to say about him.

🤷‍♂️

I don't mind cheating in video games as long as it's never against other players. Single player games or PVE games go ahead and cheat your ass off. As long as everyone involved with it is cool with it. The moment there is another human player on the other side of things NEVER cheat. Video games or otherwise.

Many moons ago I would to cheat in payday 2. Not because I cared about getting super rich but because I thought it was funny to make it rain duffle bags of gold bars that instantly kill anyone who isn't hiding under something. Or just watching the absurdity of the AI trying to fight hundreds of little turrets. The people I was playing with were just messing around for a laugh at this point. We had beaten all the maps on all the difficulties and now we just wanted to break the game.

My friend said he thought it was a viper or an rx7 but that rear end looks like a Porsche to me. Anyone have any better ideas? This is the only photo and it was even darker before I tried to brighten it up a tad.

The full quote is "I can't stand the word empathy. I think empathy is a made up new age term and it does a lot of damage. Sympathy is a better word, because empathy means you are actually feeling what another person felt, and no one can feel what another person feels."

He was talking about how the democrats use language

I disagreed with the guy on a great many things, but cutting his clips out of context like this is pathetic.

If the data leaks are accurate it was a .30-06 mauser. Which would explain the instant severed spine and gush of blood from the footage. 5.56 just isn't that large of a round and likely would never be able to make that type of wound with one round.

Man... My parents used to kick us outta the house in the morning. They would tell us we could come back inside for lunch around noon but then we had to leave again. We would bike around and get into all kind of shenanigans. Call them from a payphone and instead of saying our name for the call we would just tell them where we were super fast and then they would hear that and decline the call lmao.

As long as we came home before the sun went down or we called them from a friend's house to get approval for a sleep over they didn't really care what we did all day. Good times.

My local Costco prices everything at 88 cents because it's in a heavily Chinese neighborhood and the number 8 is considered lucky to them.

It's not always a dog whistle. But in this particular case it might be. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I've been working with computers and building them my whole life. I am pretty good with windows. I regularly tell potential employers in interviews that I rate my skills with windows computers at about a 6/10. I can probably fix anything you broke, but I am terrified of editing hex code and other things that the IT wizards do with ease.

I can take apart most electronics and put them back together without breaking them which is not a skill that most people possess apparently. Back when I worked at geeksquad I became known as the "laptop keyboard repair guy" in the area. Other stores would literally send people to see me because apparently nobody else can take apart an hp laptop and remember where all of the 47 screws went or do it without ripping a ribbon cable. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Zero. Even if I vehemently disagree with someone I am still willing to see what they said.

I think echo chambers and "bubbles" are incredibly dangerous.

The irony of that phrase being an absolute itself is not lost on me. My point stands.

I wasnt comparing rainbow stuff to nazi stuff. I was using a vaguely "opposite" thing to make my point about hypocrisy. Come on now.

A lot of my job is copying and pasting big batches of PDF files from one file window and sorting them into folders in another window. Before I upgraded to 11 when I would paste a batch it would keep all the things I just moved highlighted so I could easily grab them all again and move them somewhere else. Now with 11 when I go to grab that batch it only selects the one file I clicked and dragged on directly while it automatically deselects all the other ones.

Please tell me there is a secret answer to this because it has slowed down my work flow significantly and I cannot use Linux or stay on 10 as we are required to move to 11 in order for data safety compliance blah blah blah

Please tell me I am just blind or searching the wrong things up looking for my solution.

I have heard people say "would you rather share your emotions with a woman you know or a tree in the woods", but that doesn't really feel like it's an equal question in my head. I am curious if anyone has a better example of the "mens" version of that question.

Before anyone gets the wrong idea I am one of those peoples who's mantra is "I would rather have it and not need it than the other way around".

In that vein I daily a backpack that has thousands of dollars in tools, electronics and survival stuff in it at all times. I'm talking I could survive a complete collapse of society for quite some time with what I keep in that bag every day kinda deal.

The one thing that concerns me is the bag getting grabbed one day. I could replace everything in there but I would prefer to avoid spending all that money and time setting it all up again. I keep it with me as much as I reasonably can, but obviously I can't take it with me into places like concerts or events. During those times I have it stashed in a hidden compartment in my trunk so it's unlikely it would get taken in a smash and grab, but I would feel much better if I was able to keep track of the bags location at all times.

It seems like the small gps tracker market is basically small tags like the tile or air tag and then it immediately jumps to like thousands of dollars and subscriptions.

I am aware that this mythical tracker might not exist at all, but if anyone would know of one it's you nerds (I call yall nerds lovingly).

I apologize if this isn't the best place to ask this question. I have been looking everywhere for more classical/orchestral music and EDM hybrids, but nothing has come close to this song.

I saw there were music subs but they didn't really seem like the place where you ask about finding new music.

Again apologies if this isn't the best sub for this question I just didn't know where else to ask.

I'm talking like Ursula or the French spider from from James and the giant peach. Don't give me some conventionally attractive humans (though humans are totally allowed) please.

Personally mine was Goldie from Rock-a-doodle. I probably watched that movie 100 times on VHS as a kid.

Not sure if this is even possible but I am new here and I figured out that sorting "everything" by recent comments generally seems to be the best way to get new stuff that's getting talked about still, but it also appears to include brand new posts that come from bots that have zero comments and while I'm not against those posts I prefer to see stuff that has other users actively engaging in the comments as opposed to empty comment sections on bot posts.
