Aretha Collection 1993-1995 is being developed for PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch, and is set to include Aretha the Super Famicom (1993), Aretha II: Ariel no Fushigi-na Tabi (1994), and Rejoice: Aretha Oukoku no Kanata (1995).

It will launch in Japan on July 30th, priced at 8,580 yen, and will also be available as a physical deluxe edition (PS5 and Nintendo Switch only), priced at 16,280 yen, which includes an illustrated booklet, a large acrylic stand, a jigsaw puzzle, and a soundtrack CD...

Sadly, none of the games in the Aretha series ever got an official English release, and we imagine it's probably unlikely this collection will reach the West.

Looks like there's a fan translation for the first game at least on ROMhacking.net.

Also, I mean, if people don't like it they don't have to use bluseky to use the app you've made.πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ It doesn't really change that some people out there might like to use both.

I always go mint chocolate chip when I'm getting my own ice cream.

It's really rare for me to opt into getting a tub of it, as often I'm getting that for multiple guests or whatever, and forcing mint chocolate chip on everyone in that circumstance feels like forcing Hawaiian pizza on others at a party. So when I'm getting a scoop in store, it's like "now's my chance!"

How will this be achieved? I'd be curious to see if a really rudimentary estimation is used based on GPU benchmarks internally (like an estimation kernel trained of Valve's internal benchmarking of machines against the steam machine, for example.)

Does anyone know of any games that have arcade-style pick up and play but also feature some element of long form gameplay? This can be in the form of some narrative, a meta game or something in between.

The only example I can think of that I've played is Catherine, a puzzle-arcade game with a visual novel that bridges the game's individual levels.

Indie games or retro games are both applicable.

Makes you wonder what they're going to do with all this hardware they're buying? I hope that they (the ultra rich) are the ones to hold the bag for once in their lives.

Just kidding, they'll probably get a bailout from our (US) corrupt government.

It works really well through wine. It's a little setup but it isn't too bad imo.

Thankfully there are still some games that have custom server support, but they're mostly in the open source space.

I really agree that, with the way gaming has gone, custom servers are going to be a necessity. The only problem is that people generally like the consistency and usability of match-making services which would also need to be open sourced, but I think there are probably clever ways to design around this (for example, servers belong to tags and users have to opt-in and opt-out of tags, and game master server lists are responsible for administering these tags.)

I couldn't believe how many people bought that Harry Potter game that came out like 2 years ago. Not only was the game shitty looking ubishlock, but also we've known for years just how f***ed up jk rowling is as a person.

Having said that, as I child I remember protesting against the school trying to encourage me to buy Harry Potter at the school book faire. I get now that they were only trying to encourage me to read by suggesting a popular book, but I really didn't like the cult-like obsession around this book even as a kid, so I've had bad vibes around the book series since the very-late 90s lol.

Whoa is that true?

Also, I feel like I completely blocked this commercial out of memory until recently. I think I somehow glossed over just how strange the vibes of that commercial were because I feel like I would have remembered it more lmao.

Jeans, yes definitely. The material is pretty thick and it's a good way to ensure it's clean. Also, it prevents the metal parts from bashing the inside of the washing machine.

I'm not actually positive it's better for cleaning, but it's just how my mother taught me how to do laundry when I was a child. :)

How have people felt about this show, long term?

I've been putting off watching it because I'm super into the old show and not sure this can live up -- but maybe I'm willing to give it a shot as the old show definitely had it's fair share of problems compared to the original manga release.

Lovely. Looks great!

but the color selection in my pack was a bit odd.

Yeah, it's a bit like this sometimes. One good thing about packs though is that you know that the colors mix well together. The only thing to watch out for are packs that are designed specifically for scene painting as they tend to veer a little too much into the greens (which makes sense, as accuracy in that area for painting is really important.)
