Don't know if it qualifies as an indie game but Clair Obscur Expedition 33.

Octopi launcher is what I switched to recently. Tried a lot and it's the only one that felt really ok to fully replace Nova. For now there is the home grid that need to be a little bit of work. Nothing major, juste better shortcuts positions. Dev is active and said it was in progress.

I am watching Einstein Launcher hoping it could be ok, and waiting for lawnchair to implement (if they either do) swiping up on shortcuts and folders.

Not sure about the new app. For now I switched to SyncthingTray.

Working nice, no real problems. I am using Fedora. Still forced to use a virtual windows machine (actually a docker image) to make python exe for windows and to use excel (via winapps).

Only thing I didn't get to is to set a good backup strategy yo be able to easily restore previous state if anything broke. It's possible but ask for too much time to do it properly. Which there was an alternative to macrium reflects for windows.
I know there is time machine but my sub volumes are not named the way time machine is expecting.
It would be nice to have an easy app setting it all up!

If only they could implement what's holding me back to Nova :

  • launch an app when swipping up on an app or folder on homescreen
  • choose how folder are showed : a 2x2 grid is used but stacked option in Nova make home feels a lot less cluttered

But really first one is holding me back.

My Expenses is what I used. Before that it was an excel sheet! Simple, allow to reconcile with bank.

Back then no other app allowed that. All seemed to want to show you dashboard. Nice but IMHO the basics : adding transactions and reconcile them should be nailed.
But I am curious about others suggestions if there is any better one!

One thing I'd like an app to have (on Android) is being able to input planned expenses (which will be auto created when month begin) where I can see for an expense all planned expenses for current year in a column and in another column last year or current year with real expenses.

Besides it starts with ship detecting 2 gnosias but later on there is no way of telling if there is one or two. It makes no sense...
Same with ship not being able to tell who is an engineer but still give correct access. Even if it didn't know at first it means at least it could be confirmed once the engineer used it's credential.

I will watch next episode but it's likely I will drop it.

Hope it would develop nicely.
I feel like Lawnchair is almost stalled. What's prevent me to switch to it is mainly lack of gestures on apps and folders to launch another app. Feature request has existed forever :-/

Hope they would be sued in America and Europe for it. I can't believe it will be OK... And can't believe they clearly think it will be.

Thunder also supports multiple accounts.

Also reading! Always interesting to have info on instance.

Actually I would have thought that almost all user read it, especially since someone on lemmy is probably a bit more than a basic user. I guess not. 🫤
