That's not true though, and I don't regret buying it. You can make shaved ice, milkshakes, froyo, sorbets, and (basically) actual ice cream or gelato with a fraction of the work compared to an ice cream maker.

The only issue I have isn't with the machine itself but the way people online are promoting it as only what you're describing. You can absolutely use traditional ice cream or gelato recipes, which I did to pretty awesome results after I realized I wouldn't find that sort of content on YouTube. As long as you have the proportions down for fats, thickeners and sugars, the consistency is almost indistinguishable from the traditional counterpart. You can also find a ton of cool or even gourmet recipes for Pacojet and adjust them for the Creami.

It's a pretty fun machine that actually opens up a lot of options for desserts and culinary experimentation. My point was that the actual waste of 170$ is buying it only to make frozen versions of protein shakes (which will at best always end up as "fancy shaved ice" like you said because those recipes lack the ingredient ratios of actual ice cream).

Slightly OT, but I bought a Ninja Creami a couple years ago, excited about all the crazy ice cream recipes and experiments I would find online. Little did I know that 99% of content creators with a Ninja Creami only make disgusting looking protein powder ice cream over and over and over. What's the recipe for chocolate ice cream? Chocolate protein powder. And for vanilla ice cream? Vanilla protein powder. And for strawberry ice cream? Strawberry protein powder, of course. And so on.

I have nothing against adding protein to your diet/recipes but this is just ridiculous at this point.

Democracy tends to come with law systems and due process to prevent this from happening. Unlike, you know, Nazism.

Oh wow, who knew. The whole thread simply shouldn't exist then.

It's an insanely boring game with no depth. To each their own, but calling it a "really good game" is as much of a stretch as calling it "shit". To me it felt like a Hogwarts walking simulator with a bunch of basic unrelated minigames stuck onto it, marketed as an open world action rpg. The combat was insulting.

Title of an Italian anti fascist song.

Didn't know you had a limited supply.

It's not a matter of having a limited supply. Quite simply I cannot feel any empathy for people who caused their own suffering as a consequence of causing the suffering of millions of others. Anyone who supported and surrounded Charlie Kirk enabled him and most likely shared his opinions, which is just as awful as his direct actions. They fostered the climate that took him away from them. Crocodile tears, FAFO, leopards eating faces, call it whatever you like.

Why should I feel any empathy for whoever raised or willingly married this formerly-breathing POS? I think my empathy is way better spent on the people he continuously discriminated, victimized and oppressed.

As a father, he was advocating for a world where school shootings are a normal, and according to him necessary, occurrence. He believed children as young as 12 should be made to watch public executions. He defended and supported pedophiles. If have any empathy for his children it isn't because he died, but because they had him as a father in the first place.

People die all the time regardless of whether they deserve it or not. He did, though, so...

Viscerally awful just like him. I'd say it's appropriate, really.

Cats who get declawed are generally indoor cats who wouldn't hurt anything but their owner's furniture regardless.

Also cats are obligate carnivores, and you're an asshole.

In terms of freedom, Apple is the most user-hostile company in the business and has been forever. People are screaming in justified outrage at Google taking out sideloading in 2025, but when was the last time you could sideload something on an iPhone? Oh, never? Right.

The passes Apple constantly gets, even here, are absolutely fucking insane to me. "Oh well, at least they've always been authoritarian!" What??
