I don't feel smug about it, what the fuck. Use epic if you want, i'm just saying i already cant keep up with the games i actually want to play. No need for me to grab any free ones on a platform i dislike. "Ethically appropriate" means literally just that, get your games where you feel comfortable.

Ah that's good to know then, thanks! Gotta adjust that shit

I use vanadium on mobile. Yes, if you try to do a screenshot on that site it turns up black.

Update - 13/03/2026 11:10 UTC - The Lutris creator has restored the Claude attribution, with a comment noting "Since it's such a big fuss, I'm putting the Claude attribution back".

From that article. Also, fuck websites that block screenshots.

Yeah i don't get that hoarder mentality either. If there is a game i want i can buy it wherever i feel ethically appropriate. I don't even play all of the games i already own, i dont need a load of more games i wont be touching.

So what you are saying is that bi and pan is the same thing? A person attracted to someone else not based on gender.

This is that wholesome stuff the world needs more of. Adorable picture 🥰

I have not seen the term in this context before though, in my opinion the far more common acronym is AGI. I thought genAI referred to generative ai as well.

Don't kid yourselves guys, you will have a civil war to fight before it can get any better. And this time i hope you don't "reconcile" with the traitors afterwards.

I actually had great experiences there when i need something. Customer support is also fine in my experience. A while back i bought a screen online, turned out it was curved. Took it to the store, a day after the return window had ended(!) and they took it without complaint, even as i had already opened the box. Dude even found me another one without the curve they had in stock with the same technical specs, only cost me the 10€ price difference. Fuck online shopping at this point lol

Personally i think we definitely need some more euro-"patriotism" propagated by the normal parties. It would strengthen the union, help foster a healthier sense of commonality with the other europeans, and most importantly provide an alternative "outlet" for these nationalistic impulses that are being promoted by external enemies.

That is of course not to endorse nationalism, but Europe is under threat from hostile foreign actors and really needs some unity and awareness in the population of what is happening.

Hey guys, in the last few days my current one has started having some ghosting / unresponsive key issues and I am looking for a replacement.

The current one is a logitech g910 with programmable keys, which sadly don't work under Linux (I bought the keyboard when I still used windows). Now I know most keyboards with programmable functionality require software on the computer to work, and windows software at that.

Can someone here make a recommendation? I need

  • full Linux compatibility
  • 3-8 programmable keys
  • full layout with numpad
  • media / volume controls would be nice to have
  • (obviously) mechanical keys with good feedback, I mostly use it for gaming

Thank you in advance 🙂

E: thanks everyone for the useful responses, i landed on a keychron k3 (after some comparing i decided i could do without the numpad). Had to buy it from amazon sadly because their own store is like 3/4 sold out and didnt have the german layout i need in stock.

Hey guys, i wrote this comment yesterday in an unrelated community. Perhaps someone here has an idea what i am looking for:

This reminds me of a project I saw some years ago, it was AR glasses with just a monochrome display that would project into the eye itself, adjusted to the individual user by an optometrist.

It was less ambitious than the other projects at the time on what it would be able to display, but this had the distinct advantage of being extremely power efficient and lightweight, allowing the system to fit into a normal glasses form factor.

It also looked cyberpunk as fuck with the user having a glowing red dot in one of his eyes during use, at least to everyone else. I tried a bunch of times to google for what ever has become of it, because I was very interested in the concept as a wearer of glasses.

Does anyone by any chance know what I'm talking about? This would have been in the early to mid 2010s.

TLDR: Want my cyberpunk glasses. Pls halp

Thanks in advance 🙂

Hello, I am looking for help with some small issues I've been having with gnome (bazzite), mostly annoyances. Their discord is okay ish as a resource but takes a long time to get replies to specific issues, especially when they are more generally Linux questions and not specific to bazzite. So here goes:

I have 3 drives installed, one of them an old HDD for media storage. During the bazzite setup I selected all of them to be included since was about to reinstall the OS (and had them retroactively mounted in the old install and figured they might be treated more natively this way in the new installation).

Well the plan worked too well, and I now have no discernible drives I can locate individually outside the drive manager app, which doesn't really bother me beyond not knowing if the system will use it inefficiently (I.e store things aside from data and media on the slow HDD). Is there a way to configure how it will use the drives?

Second, I was given a pre-made admin account during setup. I really want to not have to log in with a password on each boot, is it possible to skip (only) that somehow and auto log in? I still like the password for admin level privileges.

And last, part of the reason for my reinstallation was constant issues with the stupid keyring app (seahorse?). Most of the time it would prompt me on boot, when my VPN app would try to retrieve its credentials, to set up a new keyring for it despite there being literally dozens of keyrings from its previous boots with the needed info, all freely accessible.

I have so far begrudgingly refrained from installing the VPN again because I want to find a solution for this first; and discovered that i can also set up a VPN connection directly in the OS. However from what I can tell this would prevent me from switching locations / slow servers easily, is there an alternative I am missing such as a different keyring app I could install or a function in Linux to change servers effectively (with load info and preferably without having to set up vpns manually for all the hundreds of possible servers I can choose from my VPN provider)?

Thank you for reading the wall of text this has become 👀

TLDR:

  • different types of hard drive are being used. How does the system, which manages them apparently as one, utilize them?

  • pre made admin account requires password which makes login tedious. How to skip the password only for login?

  • keyring issues. Is there any alternative to it?

So, i have been a Linux only user for about a year now I think. I went with bazzite, and am quite happy so far, i haven't yet managed to brick anything and almost everything I want to do is easily done.

However, there is the keyring app that gives me nothing but grief. Supposedly it stores login credentials for applications on the system. Practically, it does whatever the fuck it wants, and I have no idea why.

Randomly, on every system boot, it asks me to create a new keyring. Doesn't access already stored info, doesn't store afterwards entered credentials properly either. Ultimately it doesn't work for me at all.

...or so you would think. Sometimes, for no discernible reason, it works as expected. No keyring creation prompt, no manual typing of my vpn credentials. It has them stored, reads them properly, and connects the vpn automatically and quietly in the background just as I set it up and want to behave.

But anytime I get used to it just working as expected it goes back to a period of constant password typing and dozens upon dozens of (empty) duplicate entries in its credential list.

What the fuck is going on with that damn app, and how do I fix it?

Thanks in advance

Hey guys, I am somewhat new to android (went straight to grapheneos) and am a bit annoyed with this widget.

It looks good, but the skip buttons are tiny and my gorilla fingers have trouble hitting them reliably. Is there a way to change to a different layout with bigger buttons or even gesture support?

I am aware that most music apps come with a widget for the home screen but I specifically need the one shown on the lock screen and pulldown menu to change.

Thanks in advance!
