Super late response but lifetime chanel medieval teen romance sums up my the feeling I got from the game. It perfectly resonated with me.

I enjoy listening to audiobooks that are pretty much escapist power fantasy's and they have more interesting worlds and characters than veil guard did.

I couldn't get into veil guard. The combat was pretty good and it looks pretty. The characters were annoying and seemed... Type cast? All their dialogue seemed corny. Maybe they get better throughout the story but the story also didn't grab me.

I played all the others and the mass effect series multiple times. I even enjoyed Andromeda for what it was (though I quit at the final mission save for some reason).

Roblox fascinates me as someone who casually knows it. There's a huge ecosystem there just sitting inside a bigger gross child exploitation ring.

Billions of money sifting through kids hands while adults play simulation games with hardcore rules

Or so I'm led to believe.

I have a friend who bought a home. Pretty envious of it. It's not super nice (but it is a Luxor) or in a great location. But it's also not run down or in a bad location. Right next to a busy road but is close to shops and restaurants.

He's 36. I personally don't think I'll ever own property. Not sure what we'll do with my parents house but that will be interesting when the time comes.

Edit: my friend isn't well off. He just saved money enough for a down payment and bought it during COVID.

Yeah man you hit it right on the head. None of these companies can be good because by nature they can't. Decent companies can exist and they recognize customers as who are important.

Customers want a lot. Valve delivers a lot of what they want, gas lights some (I just assume), and the ones who are fucked are few comparatively speaking.

All I can think of is the dude inside the oil tanker in water world

What a horrible existence

I had to download a file search program because Windows is such shit. This program searches both my harddrives in no time and iirc shows folder file sizes.

I've used windows since the 90s. I'm finally switching to Linux when I get a new PC.

I recently drank a rose flavored sparkling water (Waterloo brand I think) that tasted almost exactly like alcohol (and rose I guess). I took one sip and had to throw the rest out.

You might like it for the taste and none of the effects.

I've got a coworker now and have had multiple others where this job was their first job in life. They just sold drugs before and, for some, after.

All of them didn't want to sell drugs but it was easy money for their skill set and it paid for their use. From what they said it was a pretty annoying job.

All you wrote rings true for me.

Yep it absolutely was a problem on release.

I enjoyed playing ac1 back then but it was very repetitive.
