You’ll need to learn some quantum theory to really understand transistor since field effect can’t really be explained using other analogies.

Basically because there is water at a high height (high voltage), the height in another pipe changes: Without the water actually flowing through the pipe.

Transistor let you set voltages without passing current through (in the real world, there is current and thus heat being generated as waste, but it’s extremely small compared to the number of switching components there are).

Use a soft shackle to avoid metal to metal!

Are there consumer sites like this? Feel like this mostly happens when it’s business customers.

The eyes freaked me out. Like I get that the anime/manga has them, but everyone did. In the movie, only she had them and that was weird.

My understanding is that it was an unexpected success and it was used as a technology demonstration for Alita. However Alita was much less successful.

I’ve learned that my buzzed self has less inhibitions when writing code. But those inhibitions are there for a reason.

Make sure you wait a week for the wood to acclimate to your workshop. And never store the wood without air flow on all sides. That’ll reduce warpage. I suspect there will be some warping though.

That seems easily abusable though? Just put all the would be profits into R&D or something.

What kind of wood and joinery are you using?

There is some trauma associated with that type of forceps extraction. There’s definitely some damage to the baby’s skull and mother’s vaginal canal. However most of the time there will be no long term issues. It’s only used if the birth is going poorly.

Isn’t there no real evidence such a device exists or could even work theoretically?

This is my first larger furniture piece and definitely made lots of mistakes between design and execution.

It’s all cherry and designed so one end is a right angle and the top shelf if shallower to fit into the fireplace.

My main power tool is a track saw but I did have access to a wood shop for a day to mill some rougher boards. Otherwise I used hand tools to finish the rest.

I used dowels and track saw cut grooves/rabbets for most of the joinery.

It was a mistake to make it in two sections instead of just having the sides be one larger piece. I also went too aggressive with my new router. Should have made much smaller bevels.
