Any good cheap VPS for something like Netbird server or Headscale with servers available in the United States.

You most likely need to enable Canvas support on that site for the upload. It's a little picture icon right to the left of the URL bar. I would recommend reading the docs above.

Then what’s taking up all the space?

I don't have even the slightest idea of what is take up all the space. My main problem isn't that the snapshot feature isn't work but the fact that I don't know why its saying 85% of the boot partition has been usage up is my main concern. Just like you said I could just increase the size of the partition but that might just delay my issue until later and then I would have the same issue but twice the size.

[–] Comexs@lemmy.zip 4 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago) (7 children)

Remove old entries youve created with this tool,

what tool?

There’s no reason you should have a ton of different boot entries to snapshots.

limine-snapper-info says I have 0 snapshots out of 8.

I'm fairly sure that the new controller uses TMR instead of Hall Effect joysticks.

My guess is 80 USD.

I bought a 8 bitdo ult 2 and a 2 c both are great. My only problem is that I wished that the USB stick support multiple controls like the 8 controllers thr Xbox wireless adapter.

Does anyone else have the issue where Prism takes forever to launch an instance? I'll try to give more details when I get back on my computer.

[–] Comexs@lemmy.zip 1 points 4 months ago

If it's better than a 1080ti then I might buy one.

I have a few packages that I install from the aur (ffmpeg-full and ssmimulacra2_bin-git) but I have been having some issues with them so I would like to learn what is the recommend way of having access to these packages without interfering with my system packages.

I use ffmpeg-full when I want to mess around with libfdk-aac, and vvenc but I have a few problems with ffmpeg-full, one Is that it takes about 4-8 hours to update. The second issue is dependency hell and my final issues is that some packages only accept regular ffmpeg and will not run without.

I'm only having problems with ssimulacra2 because one of its dependencies requires a specific version of ffmpeg. If you have any alternatives to this package, they are welcome since I only installed this one in particular because it was listed on the aur.

I was thinking of using Docker to accomplish this task, but I have no idea how to start. Is this the wrong path to go?

Thank you for you time.

Sorry for making a post for such a basic question but I wasn't able to figure out my own so I'm come here as last resort.

I bought a new CPU, RAM, and motherboard combo and I migrated all my non-conflicting parts from my previous machine, which had a Linux install and a Windows install.

When I booted into the PC, I did not see an option in the boot menu or in the boot order for Linux whatsoever. Only my windows 11 IoT install and my new nanokvm.

I had a asrock x570 extreme4 and switch to a Msi Pro x870E-P WiFi. I have updated to the newest BIOS.

I was previously using systemd as my boot manager until I tried switching over to grub but neither trying to fix system D or installing grub seemed to work for me.

So I was hoping that I could delete my boot partition or somehow start from scratch without deleting any data in my root partition (Btrfs sub volumes) . and get a step-by-step installation guide for me since I can't seem to understand the arch wiki at my current state.

I would like to give you guys more information about the scenario and more context of what I've done, but i'm sadly not capable.

/dev/nvme0n1 is my linux install while /dev/nvme1n1 is Windows 11 IoT

I'm considering getting a 9950x3D on either Monday or Tuesday at a Micro Center as a upgrade to my current setup. My main question is, how is the experience with the 9950x3D on Linux with strange architecture with half of the cores having extra L3 cache and the other half with a normal amount of L3 cache.

I have been busy working and suddenly there's been a promotion for the 9950x3D that I want to take advantage of since my motherboard on my current system has been deteriorating as of late. Asrock x570 Extreme4 with a 3700x. USB has been very flaky and I've been dual boating and the other SSD slot is on the chipset. Which makes my windows boot incredibly slow.

I plan to stay on Arch Linux or hop over to CachyOS but want to know what are your thoughts on this as well?

I primarily game but occasionally do some video/audio encoding, video editing and want to build ffmpeg-full from the aur but takes too long on my 3700X.

I've only been able to read/watch three mediums level1tech, and two Phoronix articles, but haven't mental capacity to register and remember everything.

I watched the Ryzen 9950x3D? On Linux video by Level1tech. And one of the things he mentions is gamemode. Is it recommended.

As for the Phoronix articles one is the review of the 9950x3D and the other is the cache optimization driver.

By default for the Ryzen 9 9950X3D it was using the "frequency" preference as default. But if writing "cache" to /sys/bus/platform/drivers/amd_x3d_vcache/AMDI0101:00/amd_x3d_mode it will prefer using the CCD with the larger cache. This cache vs. frequency bias can all be easily manipulated at run-time for those interested.

Is there some sort of automation for this? Or, do I have to do it manually for each program? I've never messed with kernel parameters other than for my Nvidia GPU to get Wayland to work.

I'm sorry that this question feels very unorganized. I just don't have time to write a proper one. I'll be able to reply on my next break.

Thank you for your help.

This is my first time watching any Star Wars content. From what I understand and remember I should be watching it in chronological order and I should only watch I-VI since from what I heard that those are the only ones that are actually worth a watch.

Main question

For the original trilogy I've decided to watch the 4K77, 4k80, and 4k83 v1.0 no DNR but I want to know what is the the definitive way to watch the prequels so I wanted to ask which Blu-ray release or fan edit or any release should I look for?

Sorry if I'm asking the wrong community, but I saw a post before in a Star Wars community and it doesn't look like there was much discussion on it.

I'm being very hyperbolic with the title for this post but I just want know what are some Minecraft server wrappers that you like to use. I kinda want to switch from Crafty Controller if there is a better alternative.

I have heard of AMP and LinuxGSM but haven't given them a try.

My pain points have been managing mods and mod loader. From what I know and would like to be proven wrong is that you can't remove mods or add mods thought the Crafty Controller web ui, I would have use a file manager.
