Back when I was a libertarian (Anarcho Capitalist, but no longer. Loudly a democratic socialist) this concept was called "monolopoly of force".

That's not actually the whole problem. If you watch the video, he brings up how your insurance company or the police can demand your footage (like all of it) and if you don't comply you could have your claim denied, or face charges.
I mean... I would vote for her (to be POTUS) too, since I'm very much a democratic socialist. Unfortunately her chances of actually being the Democrat nominee are basically zero. And even if she did get that far, she would lose in the same way Kamala and Hillary did. Fence sitters and centrists seem incapable of voting for a woman. ๐คทโโ๏ธ
I would be elated to be proven wrong! Please, Universe! Prove me wrong on this!
The thing that concerns me the most about federated content, is that a malicious actor could post something horrible/illegal (CSAM as the obvious example) and that gets replicated across the instances. Now those instances are "hosting" the content and could be held liable for it. A major corporation can pay lawyers to say the content was user posted and they are not responsible (happens all the time) but your average Lemmy admin does not have the same resources to defend themselves.
This is me and I'm mad about it.
Lol from the picture I thought this was Joe exotic
This question is useless, especially here where you're going to get a million different answers from some of the most opinionated experts on the Internet.
They are all effectively the same with very minor (and shrinking) differences. The actual biggest difference is the type of release cycle (atomic, rolling, etc) and you can find multiple of those in the same distro. Again.... It's all effectively the same.
I'm gonna recommend what works for me, but it might not work for you. I like these because (again, in my specific use case) they "just worked" with little to no problems: Fedora for a desktop/laptop and bazzite for a handheld. Again.... YMMV.
Go check distrowatch and try a few different distros until you find one you like. The more popular, the more likely you can find a community to support your questions.
I very often have whole days in my week, probably 2 or 3 where I don't eat any meat at all. I am definitely no vegetarian, I love pork in all it's forms. But the whole idea of having to have meat with every meal is ridiculous. Beans, falafel, cheese, tofu, etc are all tasty ways to get protein and are usually quite cheap as well.
And yeah the only non open source software I use is games. It took a couple years to get off windows, but I've been Linux as my daily driver since 2015 or 2016.
Alexstraza mmmmmm. I'd raid for her frfr
I would love to see a sequel to the Warcraft movie.
Isn't he enriching himself? I heard a lot of his income is from suing vaccine companies and now that he has his position, he can point to their "findings" about autism etc and say "there's the proof!"
My Frenchie also remembers every place he's found a food or seen a cat/squirrel. He checks them all daily.
