Have you tried DeepL for translations? Does it a bit more naturally in my opinion

This has gotta be the 10th "We have invented Nano-Bots!!! (That are really just shapes controlled by a big magnet outside the body) That I have seen in the past decade or 2)

It's the equivalent of moving around a mini sailboat in a pool using a leaf blower. Just because you found ways to make it move in incredible ways, doesn't make it a robot.

None of them are ever robots and none of them are ever Nano-Bots. Yes, they are useful advances in medicine, but every article, (and seemingly the researchers too,) love to sensationalize them to high heaven.

Those longer binders might be perfect for her! She's a bit on the heavier side too, so a long one would help her feel even better. She has a waist shape she occasionally wears, so a long binder wouldn't be too dramatic of a change.

Hello!

Figured I would bring this question by you all here since stuff like this would be right up your alley. I'm completely out of my league when it comes to things like these lol.

My best friend recently realized how some of her feelings are actually gender dysphoria. She's beginning to figure out herself and all these odd feelings she's having. She doesn't care what labels people use, but is leaning towards non-binary as what she feels she is.

Essentially, she hates the way her chest feels sometimes and expressed interest in getting a binder. What are some good recommended brands for chest binders?

Also, I don't really have any idea of what features or whatnots to look out for when it comes to binders, so any guidance or tips would be much appreciated.

Take a look at melatonin. It doesn't put you to sleep per-say, but it helps your brain say "it's time to sleep".

It's mild for me, but it makes my best friend sleepy pretty quick.

So true

I have this video saved as an mp3 on a second device just for sleeping. Helps block plug little noises that my broken brain terms to fixate on. It's 8 hours too, so you can use it as a impromptu timer to know when to wake up. If the nose hasn't stopped, then it's not time to wake yet.

He seems to be doing a mix of both. Small things for his community and bigger things that can lead to systemic changes.

Ahh, but that still needs you to type an A... 3 actually. What's your real source of A's huh???

[–] Bubs@lemmy.zip 0 points 3 weeks ago (4 children)

Where do you copy the A from to get to Wikipedia?

The answer for me:

  • Liberal use of block button.
  • Going to random worlds with random people all the time.

It took about 2 years to find my group. There were a lot of good memories and fun times along the way, but I eventually found my people.

One day in a random lobby I happened across a group of four or five people. We were chatting and having a good time, and they invited me off to whatever worlds they were going to. They eventually got me into their group of gaming nights and weekly hangouts. Through that group, I met who is now my best friend. She then got me into her group and I have since met a lot of people that are very dear to me.

I have been a part of a lot of groups in the past, but I could never truly call any of them my close friends. Now I have a handful of people that I would do just about anything for.

It's not easy to meet people on VR chat, but, if you surround yourself with good people, you can eventually find your people.

I got this exact line of calculator for my technical class I started recently. The first thing I looked up when testing it was how to switch from fractions to decimal.

This is a very incomplete post (so far) of discord alternatives. In the near future, I'll add rankings and in depth information on each alternative. Stuff may be slightly inaccurate or miscategorized for a little while as I start my research. I will also add links and other info as time goes on.

Discord like

  • Stoat (formerly Revolt)
  • Mattermost ($$$ Built for enterprise)

Signal Like

  • Matrix

Teamspeak Like

  • Mumble

Slack Like

  • Rocket.Chat

Forum Like

  • Discourse

Need to Categorize

  • Zulip

Not much here yet, but I plan to populate this community with various resources about all the potential alternatives for discord. I'll mainly focus on programs like discord, but I'll also share some about other alternatives similar to programs like Teamspeak or Signal.

Feel free to post any articles, reviews, etc you find or any general discussion you may have.

Instead of trying to scour the web for (usually Ai generated) recommendations, I figured I would come where the experts are at :3

I absolutely love compression on my legs, so, while I don't really visit communities like here, I can see there are lots of people here that have the knowledge. If there's a better community to post this to, I can move it there.

I need socks that are suitable for tall and skinny. 5' 10" and about 130lb. I would like ones that teach the upper thigh if that's a thing. I would use them mainly for sleeping or lounging around, so ones that resist slipping would be great. As far as budget, $40 max, but I'd prefer under $30. I'm in the US by the way.
