I like the Voyager ui alot. I did try Blorp on mobile and liked it too but I like the voyager ui more than having the extra features. I've also switched back to using Piefed ui after they introduced some new themes that make me like the ui enough to use it when combined with the fact it has all the latest Piefed features

I've started using Voyager again after trying out other clients because I love the ui and ux, however, I notice a lot of Piefed features such as cross posts, emoji reactions, flairs, and feeds aren't supported. While it could take a while, I would like to see implementing some of these features explored. Absolutely no pressure to do this and I completely understand if you'd rather prioritise other features, since these can be done from Piefed ui which I use on desktop now.

Oh, now it makes sense

For me personally, I use Blorp on desktop and Voyager on mobile. I've tried a lot of mobile clients but despite lacking a lot of piefed features, I like voyager because of the ui

Thank you for bringing it back online, glad the security issues have been fixed up now

It's nice for you that the instances being blocked just so happen to be ones you don't like, but did you not consider that there's probably alot of people who don't have issues with those instances and don't find them toxic. Your personal blocklist is there so you can curate your own feed, and that is not what the instance blocklist is for and they aren't and shouldn't be treated like the same thing. Tldr, just block an instance in your personal blocklist and move on, no need to make it everyone else's problem.

Yeah this is true for a good amount of proprietary software but not really for most Foss software, which I mostly use now

I think there's no problem unless you can't opt out of them, automatic updates are convenient for a lot of people like me, who forgets to check for updates to things

Agree with the .zip instances, it's nice to not randomly lose access to communities over instance drama

I did already try asking about this issue in !home@lemmy.zip with a response from the instance admin that there shouldn't be any issues, so I'm going to post here in case this is a blorp issue. I've been unable to log into blorp.piefed.zip or blorpblorp.xyz over a VPN, and when I log in and turn my VPN on again posts and other content do not load. The same issue occurs on the mac app. This doesn't happen with my old instance on blorp, the Blorp android app (weirdly piefed.zip logs in and loads content fine on the app), or piefed ui. I apologize if this is an instance issue and something that can't be sorted out here.

Hello, I was trying to login to b.piefed.zip since I used to use blorp on my old instance before i switched here, but i'm not able to login on my vpn, and if i turn off my vpn, login, then turn it back on, posts won't load. This seems to also be an issue trying to login from blorpblorp.xyz. It doesn't seem like this instance blocks vpns as I was able to login via piefed ui and the Blorp android app over my vpn with no issues and everything is loading just fine. I also apologise if this is the wrong place to post since this looks to be the lemmy.zip discussion place, but i can't find one for piefed.zip.
