Enshitification

Enshitification typically refers to the loss of quality of digital and tech products but here we apply that term more broadly to services and consumer products too.

Here is a community where you can share quality loss of products and services to inform others to spare them from buying goods or services that have declined in quality.

This community allows videos, photos, and articles about the topic of enshitification.

Post examples:

  1. An article about formula changes in food products.

  2. An app that used to be free now requires a subscription. (this information is often hidden on the playstore until you download the app, so please let others know).

  3. Shrinkflation that you noticed such as garbage bags of a certain brand being smaller than the label states.

For examples that you noticed, please share any evidence you have such as photos and videos if it is something you personally noticed. Please be specific about the brand so that others can choose to avoid these products.

Companies lie about changes. Here we will do our own investigations.

Visually the difference is small but the new formula is not as fluffy as the old and the color is darker.

I have been eating this cereal as a snack for years and its a favorite but this last box i purchased is different. It taste like the generic version. Not the light crisp texture of the original, but it taste gritty and mushy. The box that honeycomb is usually sold in is also a larger box because the cereal is very light. It is now sold in the regular sized boxes. No change in price. To be fair the new formula is more dense so maybe its the same weight. Not sure.

I am unfamiliar with the original ingredients so I dont know what was changed. Possibly just the ratios. It also tastes less sweet.

As far as I am concerned, it is now inedible. I will be donating it to the local raccoons that come around. Not fit for human consumption.

If this is a cereal you loved, I am sorry to bring you this news. but its gone.
