Post guidelines

Title formatPost title should mirror the news source title. If you don't like the title of article, look for an alternative source instead of editorializing it.
URL formatPost URL should be the original link to the article (even if paywalled) and archived copies left in the body. It allows avoiding duplicate posts when cross-posting.
[Opinion] prefixOpinion (op-ed) articles must use [Opinion] prefix before the title. Opinion articles refer to articles that their publisher doesn't explictly endorse.
Country prefixCountry prefix can be added to the title with a separator (|, :, etc.) if the news is from a local publisher who doesn't clearly mention the country.

MODERATORS

After almost twenty years on the platform, EFF is logging off of X. This isn’t a decision we made lightly, but it might be overdue.

Never heard of EFF but 0 points for being 10 years late on this very easy and obvious decision.

The Electronic Frontier Foundation does a lot of amazing work to defend privacy and digital freedom. Just to throw one example out there, they released firmware for a low cost hotspot to detect cell snooping via IMSI catchers/stingrays.

Because they're an advocacy group I suspect they stayed on the platform for visibility. I can half excuse orgs who crosspost to various platforms as long as they aren't only on Twitter. But individuals do not get the same pass.

If you feel that way, donating to the EFF might be something to look in to.

Never heard of EFF

Congratulations. You're one of today's lucky ten thousand. :)

but 0 points for being 10 years late on this very easy and obvious decision.

Once you learn about what the EFF does, and read the post, you'll (hopefully) understand that this decision was neither easy nor obvious.

Well you probably want to ear about them. Please go fix that.
