PLEASE, NO SPOILERS FOR 9th-10th EPISODES

I remember in one of the episodes the uninfected/not taken over & English speaking & understanding people where having a meal together & the infected/taken over host Zusia (but really all of them, as she talks about the Croquet skills are within each infected/taken over person) was explaining The Infected/Taken Over People cooked their meal as Vegan, to Not Harm-Kill the Living Planet & thus Beings. Yet while I was watching the 8th Episode, I watched the same infected/taken over host Zusia (but really all of them, as she talks about the Croquet skills are within each infected/taken over person) prepare NON-Vegan dish & talk about eating NON-Vegan food. I know people could say that is to please the uninfected/not taken over main character. If that is true, then that should have been known to them as the seed to their losing to the uninfected/not taken over people. Just like they realized being too physically close to the same main character posed a serious risk to them & adjust accordingly. There should some places they will not go,

Another problem I have is why where not the rest of the infected/taken over people not effected when infected/taken over host Zusia nearly died from the uninfected/not taken over main character grilled her to answer how to reverse the infection/taken over & infected/taken over host Zusia, like all the rest, cannot tell lies?

PLEASE, NO SPOILERS FOR 9th-10th EPISODES

They take being unharmful to The Living Planet & All Beings, so seriously-

They are all sleeping in the same large buildings (unused sports venues & Etc.),

They started shutting down energy drawling buildings, when they were not being used,

Until episode 8, only made Vegan foods

&

I am sure other things, I just cannot remember.

Yet they are having individuals piloting large commercial passengers jets, where they are the only passengers & flying around the uninfected/not taken over individuals (with the infected one/taken over they request) in Air Force 1 - private jets. As at least the other watcher thought they are contributing to 'Global Warming' unnecessarily, they were not in hurry, could fly only full jets or better yet use different & better form of transportation. I responded with a simple & not complete answer, not saying it was wrong, that considering the airports & skies are nearly empty of passengers & flights, compared to pre-infection/taken over world, not important contributions- Net Zero I feel wrong even using the words, I have never before, but this is a way different world than the real world. Those still like how can you use that term, wait you will understand why). In my defense I was waiting for downloading of 3rd-episode; only had the whole 1st-season available to me weeks ago (edited this because I watch 1-episode a week, have so many entertainment & political & Etc. series to watch, so only once watch 2-episodes back to back).
After watching the 8th-episode the interesting answers came to me, which I believe is most important & correct answers:
Since there would be probably a lot of jet fuel left, Can jet fuel be made into biodegradable elements, in harmless processes? I believe the answer is no,
From what I understand, correct me if I am wrong, jets burning jet fuel does not produce anything but H2O, while obviously producing jet fuel does harm the Living Earth & thus Beings.
&
Since there would be probably a lot of jets parts & obviously Jets left & unused jets parts for jets & jets (unless reused for some other needs or recycling into new needed parts & structures, like housing) would damage the Living Earth & thus Beings. The best use of both would be to continue to use the ones that can, a ton smaller population (I would love) & reuse, recycle those that just have no need for. I doubt we can reuse, recycle all those fuel, parts & jets, so what is the next step?

Storage for future solution(s), really never gets focused enough on & by enough people, in reality world, results in never finding a solution that works & is not dangerous & NEVER STOPPING THE PRODUCTION, contaminates the storage containers, which then have to be delt with,

The only thing I can think of is taking at least the parts & fuel in spaceships to the sun, to burn-up. Like the long time established same process for getting rid of nukes, nuclear waste & Etc., there is too huge problems with this. First is the long time established problem of what happens if there is a problem with spaceship-transportation out of our Living Planet & at least the parts & fuel are blow-up, back into our atmosphere & even back to our Living Planet. Even if the problem happens just outside our Living Planet's atmosphere, but within the satellites, then it causes serious problems with many industries.
&
Second is the cost to our Living Earth & thus Beings for the whole long process of getting spaceships out of the pull from the Living planet & into the Sun. Correct me if I am wrong, I have be educated that the smoke/end result from the space shuttles' engines is also just H2O. Again not to say the production of these fuels are harmless for the Living Planet & Beings, far from it. Plus all the parts &servicing which again is hugely expensive to our Living Planets & Beings health.

This perfect example of what I consider one of the hardest things about trying to be as good as possible for all the issues of the Living Earth & thus Beings-

There are a lot of situations, where it is extremely hard to decide what is the best thing to do.

I remember a few years ago on the show 'Rising Up with Sonali' there was a gentleman (cannot remember his name) that was building-up a website that gave answers that people should do under such situations. When I went to his website, I noticed how the website was too small in scope. To be fair to him, the staff & the website, the scope is unimaginably large.

I really like this series & find it unique & interesting, though I do not have Apple + streaming service & It is not yet downloading in order & all the episodes to my ‘PLEX’ service, so all I have watched are FIRST-2-EPISODES, SO PLEASE NO SPOILERS/NOTHING ABOUT EPISODES PAST 2ND.

I tried to post a thread with what people thought of the show & this thread’s topic, but it was dominated by with exchanging replies on what the repliers thought of the show.

Even though one those repliers, MotoAsh, & I debated a long time about the alien microscopic Beings effect on The Living Planet’s & thus All Living Beings ability to survive, I love that MotoAsh expressed (even if his effect was wrong) so strong of concern for things that matter most to me- The Living Planet’s & thus All Living Beings.

See if you think this would have been a better story line to the series-

Our stupid need to explore space & need for Rich-Super Rich Economic Classes/Owners to make profits/wealths over everything else, while on Earth there are huge, sick & evil problems that gets push aside. SPOILER, IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN FIRST-2-EPISODES, From ‘The Pluribus’ series- Microscopic Beings stowaway on spaceship back to Earth & they escape within a scientist, because she accidentally injects herself with some of them.

The microscopic Beings are of two-make-ups, one is like ‘The Pluribus’ series where they are all of one-minds & no room for individuality & the other make-up is all are individuals & no room for shared existence, no matter how many bodies they both take over. Both are the problems, The not infected/controlled people are individualistic, unlike ‘The Pluribus’ series microscopic Beings, but they can also come together to act as one, not just because they can share one-mind, like the microscopic Beings, more importantly, over time they learn they can respect, understand & Etc. work together for the betterment of the species & for the species survival. Thanks to appreciating their shared experiences, from the good & bad happening all around them. Thus they can do what both (I guess that is the best scientific term to use) families of species of The Microscopic Beings can do, at will though, switching back & forth. Sure I like how the members of our species that cannot yet be turned are far from healthy members of our species. Like the main character is a alcoholic.

People have asked why, so I will put it here for all to read,

I am tired of the individualistic BLANK in our entertainment, when really if honestly look at our country, let alone most countries (especially Capitalist & Caucasian dominated countries), individualism is the problem & is manipulated by The Rich-Super Rich Economic Classes/Owners for their benefits.

Look at The Canada & Scandinavian Countries, where just being respectful, understanding & Etc. working together for the betterment of their lives, thanks to appreciating their shared experiences, from the good & bad happening all around them. Result better countries & people living in them. Thought of adding this now, they are of course not perfect, nothing is perfect, even the best country- Denmark is not perfect. Of course I agree the people, in the above, are almost entirely Caucasian & thus that are not Caucasian & already there are treated a lot worse (like Canada’s Indigenous peoples) & those non-Caucasian people trying to get in have go through tons of Capitalist dominated EU countries that try make as hard as possible to get through.

What year is the Spit card game?

In Season One, card games at the West Gate Vegas Hotel with the Elvis Suite. Then a home game "Spit" is introduced with a hive mind Wikipedia hive mind trivia "FUN FACT".

"Spit appears to have originated in the UK in the 1980s."

  1. RED FLAG: Carol is an American, she does not live in London. She played it as a child and she is a USA person.

  2. RED FLAG: In the years of the 1980's. Wrong!

Research, the Pluribus in-show hive mind with the Wikipedia hive mind:

"1973 book Deal Me In! The Use of Playing Cards in Learning and Teaching by Margie Golick, who was based at McGill University, Montreal."

Minute 22 of Pluribus Episode One, Helen's Graduate School work is on James Joyce's Finnegans Wake. "::: “He seemed a kind of embarrassing holdover from 1960s hyped-up utopian thinking. In the 1980s, the cutting-edge of media studies for grad students involved thinking about identity (gender, race, etc.) and not much about media,” said Straw, a communication studies professor and director of McGill University’s Institute for the Study of Canada :::." - Published: 17 July 2011

       * "Finnegans Wake is the greatest guidebook to media study ever fashioned by man." - Marshall McLuhan, Newsweek Magazine, p.56, February 28, 1966 .. (Again, asserting Minute 22 of Episode One of Pluribus)

Minute 37 of Episode Two

Carol stands in front of the POTUS Seal https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seal_of_the_president_of_the_United_States

  1. Stars missing. 4 of 13 are missing next to the head of the eagle. Only 9 of the 13 stars are present.

  2. There are 13 free people that the meeting is discussing.

  3. The eagle is facing the wrong way for the POTUS Seal. The claws of the olive branch and the arrows are swapped so the eagle still points to the peaceful olive branch.

The eagle being the wrong direction is intended to catch the audience eye. It takes a little more effort to count the 13 stars and find 4 are missing on closer examination.

REMINDER: This is a show that opens with smart scientists (at VLA New Mexico) in a media room trying to decode the symbols and meanings of a 78 second message. Over-thinking and analyzing media symbols is part of the very start of the show. Manousos Oviedo is also frequently shown to be analyzing messages / signal intelligence.

With the matter of starvation and the dubious aim of the virus (its target may be to cancel mankind according to some theories), how do you think the hive manages procreation? I think at least for now they would avoid it to keep the load on food resources as low as possible. What’s your take?

19

When Carol calls the operator to speak to "them" and gets the recording, is that Patrick Fabian's voice? (Howard Hamlin from "Better Call Saul")

I can't find anyone credited for that, but it sounds a lot like him. Just curious if it's a stealth cameo.

20

After all these episodes, I can’t help but wonder: what would Carol be like if Helen had survived? Would she have become complacent, like the other immune? Would she still be with Helen, or would she have sent her away and still tried to find the cure?

It seems like Carol’s fight to end the Hive is at least partially driven by Helen’s death. I’m curious about your thoughts: how does someone who was once so miserable—someone who saw others as stupid idiots (clearly, she despised those women who loved her books)—suddenly become determined to save the world? What do you think motivates Carol now?

spoilerEpisode 6 is titled (in English) HDP. I saw a lot of discussion on reddit (but not here) that this stands for Human Derived Protein. Another post showed that the translations always match this in the target language. But in Arabic it's apparently harder to make acronyms. So it turns out they just used the whole words. I guess this confirms the theory.

Also, incidentally. The pH of your body is about 7.4. This stuff was 7.1. Apparently a brain is about 7.2. It's a bit off but my guess is that she saw brains. Her delayed reaction means it can't have been something too obvious.

23

Everyone know what everyone is thinking it to be: what could it be, if not dead bodies? Would that be too obvious? Is making it obvious paving the path for a real surprise?

(I don’t read/watch any commentary outside of this community, so I’m for sure out of the loop if there’s some mainstream theory going on :) )

Happy early Pluribus day! Yes, you read that right — this week's episode of Vince Gilligan's Apple TV sci-fi show has dropped a whole two days ahead of schedule, likely in part due to the impending Thanksgiving holiday for those of us celebrating, and likely also to get ahead of the return of another sci-fi streaming show that people will be binging this weekend. Whatever the reason, "Got Milk," written by Ariel Levine and directed by Gordon Smith, doesn't waste any time before launching into the immediate ripple effects of last week's cliffhanger.

When romance author Carol Sturka (Rhea Seehorn) concocts a reckless plan to drug a member of the hivemind — in this case, Zosia (Karolina Wydra) — and demands an answer about how to reverse the alien phenomenon that linked almost every survivor on Earth, the Others... don't take it very well, to say the least. Their collective decision to ice Carol out for what's treated like a pretty personal violation of boundaries is the first time we've seen them really push back against any behavior from the immune, and it could have lingering consequences heading into the back half of the season — especially since the Others' absence ultimately allows Carol to make what seems like a pretty harrowing discovery about them. But "Got Milk" is also an episode that forces Seehorn to carry Pluribus on her shoulders for the bulk of the hour, and she does so in stunning fashion.
