After applying the GenP v4.0.4 patch to Photoshop, it's home screen is just blank/grey. I’ve followed the guide to the letter and double-checked all permissions, but nothing works. I’ve even tried a clean wipe and reinstall, but no luck. Photoshop itself works fine—I can create new files through the top menu bar—but the home screen remains completely grey.

Hi Mean_Plantain_7909, I have a question about GenPv4.0.4/config, “Acrobat.dll,” and the Acrobat1 patch. According to “Custom Pattern,” Acrobat1 isn't patched. For example, in 21431, the pattern still returned 0 matches. In the new versions, however, the Acrobat1 patch would find a match (@ 0x006B92A0). But does this still remain unpatched !?

Hey mods. So apparently the link to GenP that used to be on the FMHY.net (Free Media Heck Yeah) website was removed recently, with FMHY citing the message about the old Paramore site team stepping down. I contacted them about that on their subreddit modmail to see if it can be fixed, but the mods seem to still believe that these Stoat and Lemmy communities are unofficial people pretending to be the GenP developers.

What's confusing is their recent Github issue someone made about that was apparently closed as added, yet still no links.

Is there any way for the GenP moderators or developers to contact them and get the new GenP links added? FMHY is used and trusted by alot of people (especially compared to just word of mouth about GenP).

After launching Acrobat, a window appears, and this pop-up displays the following messages one after another: “Acrobat is being set up,” “Preferences are being loaded,” “Profile is being initialized,” and then “Subscription is being retrieved.”

After that, the process stops, or the process must be terminated. After starting and terminating the process three times, the window no longer appears, and Acrobat starts up normally....

The necessary Hosts and firewall entries have been made. GenP v4.0.4 does not (yet) resolve this issue.

I can always reproduce this pop-up at program startup during a fresh installation with newer versions, e.g., in a VM or on a clean machine. In my existing installation, I encountered this with version 21529, when this pop-up also appeared upon the first program launch after the update, despite the hosts and firewall entries. I start Acrobat and terminating the process three times, and the window no longer appears, and Acrobat started up again normally…

Is there a possibility to analyze this and, if necessary, integrate a fix into a newer GenP version?

As the title suggests, when I apply the patch using GenP v4.0.4 in Photoshop and Premiere Pro, the main screen becomes blank.

However, this problem does not occur when I revert to GenP v4.0.0.

I downloaded and installed from the trusted links. Ran autoplay.exe. Blocked ALL related "adobe" processes in my firewall. I use Kaspersky Total Security. For a day, all was fine. But on day 2, today, it's begun to not work at all. I launch Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, and within 2-3 seconds, 2-3 windows popup so fast I cannot read what they are, and they kill the main Adobe process so Adobe Acrobat Pro DC crashes/closes almost immediately too

If I hadn't blocked all detected adobe processes in my firewall, I'd understand, but since I did, I don'"t understand what's going on. Can someone please help me?

i downloaded 4.0.0 while back when it was still open to people to download and now i read a comment it was a malware. should i be now worried after using it as a patch.

Hi there, I wanted to make this account because I know there are people who may be having issues with Media Encoder and GenP. To help everyone else out there must be something malfunctioning with the new Genp4 . I have a windows lenovo thinkpad laptop and the hosts, the firewall, were fine. I troubleshooted the problem trying to use fiddler. I had an older version of Media Encoder 25.1 and 26, they didn't work. I couldn't download Monkrus either. So decided to try the Genp 3.7.1 version and ran it for media encoder and viola it works. So admins I inform you that there is something wrong with the latest Genp4, but you can use the older versions as a work around. Thanks

What's the prognosis for the future of GenP now that Computer Generated Paramore (CGP) has formally abandoned it? Is anyone in this group taking over maintenance and development?

I recently updated Media Encoder from v26.0 to v26.0.2. Now it displays a popup requiring a free trial. Other applications (Acrobat & Photoshop) run properly. I have tried...

  • Update hosts file with the latest entries. No change.
  • Revert to v26.0. That version now also displays the free trial popup.
  • Block Internet access for Media Encoder. It then hangs on a popup requiring Internet access.
  • Run Media Encoder as administrator. No change.
  • Restore and re-patch Media Encoder both with and without the "good patch" option. No change.
  • Do the WinTrust > reboot > un-WinTrust > reboot dance. No change.
  • Completely clean, reinstall, and patch Creative Cloud and all Adobe applications. No change.

I have read through the entirety of the wiki and guides and can find nothing to resolve this issue. Maybe I missed something. Can anyone offer assistance? Thanks.

Hello. I've been using GenP since v2.7 and although I have to clean and reinstall CC each update, I've never run into any problems. I recently downloaded the 4.0 src from the guide and compiled it using the .bat as admin, but the sha256 hash provided [551FBEB7E5EE2F4E6B7212A95266E58E14CD4B301ECFC297E8FBBD00AD5EB8A0] doesn't match up with the actual hash of the compiled binary. How cooked am I? I don't seem to have any problems using CC apps in offline mode but if i'm online I'll get the "unlicensed app is not genuine" errors.

I suppose this is a naive inquiry, but now that I have an account on Stoat, where are the GenP discussions?

I wanted to download LrC however, since 4.0.0 binary isn't currently available for direct download and needs a few bug fixes, am I still able to patch Creative Cloud using GenP V3.6.4 and which version of LrC can I download with V3.6.4?

And I'd like to inquire about the Compatibility list. It only lists the newest version of GenP (4.0.0) and which versions of each app it covers yet no way to check out what older versions of GenP can cover.

I believe adding a way to check that would amazing in situations such as these where the newest version isn't available.

For future refence: Do Adobe's CC updates implement any security patches that would require newer versions of GenP or are we able to confidently patch any CC update using any GenP version.

If I successfully compile the GenP-v4.0.0.exe file from the GenP-4.0.0-src source code version on my computer, can I directly use the entire Release folder on other computers to use the exe file inside?
