  1. No Root
  2. No Bootlocker unlock
  3. No Custom ROM
  4. Needs Google Play Service
  5. Needs to be installed via Google PLay Store
  6. Needs my phone number
  7. Needs that SIM in that phone
  8. Needs that SIM in that slot
  9. Needs location
  10. Works only via Mobile Data
  11. Developer options disabled
  12. Needs someother app to be uninstalled
  13. Disable VPN (Firewall apps use that)

So for bank stuff to need a seperate phone, other for whatsapp (and other spyware) and then your main thing. And when you go out people ask questions.

I don't understand my apps are developed with their security dependent of the OS, why can't they make secure apps

Are there any smaller Android tablets around the size of the Ipad Mini (8.3" screen size) that have stylus support? I know about the Lenovo Legion Pro Tab but it seems to be only available in China right now and is going to be very expensive when released in the U.S.

Looks like Fastmail doesn't have any Android widgets, unfortunately.

Russia is the most sanctioned country in the world. Youtube is blocked in Russia. Moscow court fines Google in $20,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000. Google allows MAX, a Russian state surveillance app, on the Play Store. Irony?

Hello, world! Is it possible to somehow remove an unlocked bootloader warning on newer Motorola phones?

I've tried to flash custom logo.bin via fastboot flash logo command. Boot logo has changed but the warning hasn't been removed. Instead it just became plain text (as well as whole fastboot menu).

Would be grateful for any of you suggesting something ;)

It's amazing to me how all these years later AndStatus really still is the best Android app for the fediverse.

Sometimes simple is just better. @AndStatus had to remove support for #twitter a while back for obvious reasons. I would appreciate it if they would add support for a couple other SNS like Bluesky or NOSTR. But I'm a happy camper without it even if they never reach the cross platform function of OpenVibe or SonaSNS for iPhone. The snappiness and off-line first nature of it is just something clients with a "modern" UI can't achieve.

Finally enabled the fingerprint sensor on my phone. The fingerprint unlock icon doesn't show up when the screen is off which means it takes one tap and one push to wake up the phohe. "Screen-off fingerprint unlock" shows up in the search results in settings, but there is no actual setting (that I can find) that will allow me to turn this on. Just a minor annoyance, but it would be nice if it worked. Any ideas?

Specifically Typewise which is the only keyboard I know of with hex-shaped keys suited to my fat fingers. Unfortunately it's proprietary. Installed it from Aurora, can't seem to downgrade. Any ideas?

Have a look at attached screenshot. The bottom of the keyboard disappears off the screen. Update was supposed to fix this but made it worse. 😠

EDIT: In case anyone has the same problem, I found that rolling back to version 3020308 on Aurora solved the issue.

Theres a few issue raised today on github. For linux and android.

I friend also can't send from Molly.

One of the commanders suggests it might be due to AWS issue. https://health.aws.amazon.com/health/status

Not sure if thats the case but FYI incase anyone Looks here.

I am using neo backup often I run into storage issues so I am wondering if there is a possibility of backing data with git, root, Termux, Tasker .

any ideas on making an android phone (LOS 22.2, root) more dormant in standby?

I got a couple older ex-flagships with beefier SoC that aren't super-energy efficient and chew through the battery without doing anything. they got no SIM cards and broadband is disabled by way of Airplane mode, they're on wifi with very few background apps (syncthing, KDE Connect - tried without them, same) and still they barely last 24 hours doing nothing, just sitting there with SoT of like 5 mins.

tried just LOS (with unifiedpush) and LOS + microG + replace FOSS apps with Gplay apps, thinking that background sync could be the issue, no significant difference.

I've tried some tools like 3c CPU Manager that let you underclock CPU and GPU, but them things are for people trying to maximize their SoT, like use less power while they're being used. what I'm looking for is something to bring the consumption way, way down when it's not being used.

Will this effect Graphene? Too bad that Linux phones don't seem to be going anywhere...
